Description
Batzanakias restaurant is located near the beach of Ponti which is known for Windsurfing and at an altitude of about 80 meters from the sea. On the ring road that connects Vasiliki with Agios Petros, it offers a wonderful view of the bay of Vasiliki, the sea, Kefalonia and Ithaca.
In 1980 in Agios Petros, Zois Katiforis at the age of 23 turned his mother’s father’s house of 70 square meters into a tavern, in order to serve the then tourist traffic. In the same year the owner of the shop married Niki Maragou. Thus, the name of the shop “Batzanakias” was born.
Zois and Niki have worked hard since the first day 1 and managed to endear it to you for the good prices and the wonderful tastes as well as for their own production of vegetables and their own rearing of rabbits and roosters. At the same time, they had two children, Chrysoula and Nikos, who worked in the family business from an early age.
In 2006, the owner’s wish for a more suitable space came true and together with his son Nikos, they built the building that currently houses the “Batzanakias” restaurant.
