
George Logothetis was born in 1944 in Agios Petros, Lefkada. In 1964 he immigrated to Sweden to study at Stockholm University. He worked for Swedish State Television for 15 years as a journalist, presenter and television producer. In 1988, following a proposal from the management of ERT, he returned to Greece to help create the Third State Television Channel (ERT3), in the capacity of television director. 1992-2004 taught “Television Production” and “Communication Networks” at the Department of Journalism and SMEs of A.P. Thessaloniki. He was a member of the Association of Swedish Journalists. He is a member of ESIEMTH, and a member of the Foreign Press Correspondents’ Association. His book THE “SWEDISH” MAYOR refers to the Greek and Swedish Local Government and his experiences as mayor of APOLLONIA Lefkada 2006-2010. The biography of Mikis Theodorakis is published in English, Russian and Chinese. He has created 10 hour documentaries about the life and work of Mikis Theodorakis. He has also created a series of documentaries on Hellenism in Lower Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Corsica and northern Macedonia.
