Rodia Apartments is a beautiful accommodation in the settlement of Karyotes, in the first village outside the city of Lefkada which is 3 km from the city center of Lefkada. The distance from the nearest beach is only 0.7 km. It is a flower-decorated village, spacious and in the green landscape. It is located near the historic archeological site “KOULMOS” in which there are ruins of the citadel of the ancient city NIRIKO capital of the island. During your visit to Karyotes it is worth looking for the site of the first Alexander Saltworks that were created for the first time in the 17th century and are an important industrial monument (on foot the route is 2.5 km). Alykes, which was the salt road, operated until 1988, maintaining the structure of Venetian designs. It is a complex creation of human energy and natural construction. The salt flats have been designated by the Ministry of Culture as a protected monument. (NATURA). Quite close to our accommodation, you will also find taverns (where you can taste delicious local food), pizzerias, cafes, fish taverns, bakery and mini market.
